Our blessing tree is growing wonderfully!  Excited that the children are coming up with fun, unique and real things to be for which to be thankful.  It is truly giving us an attitude of gratitude.

Well, it's been awhile :)  Life is busy!  When I thought about keeping a blog I thought "I can do this, no problem."  But. . .time, this I didn't account for.

My husband and I have instituted "Date Night."  I know what you're thinking - but it's a bit different than that.  The first Sunday of the month is our time.  He and I go out on a typical husband and wife date - dinner, movie, a walk, whatever.  But the next three Sundays are for our kids.  One month I take out the girls, Dot the second Sunday, Cat the third Sunday, Hans the fourth Sunday and hubby takes out the boys, Jo the second Sunday, Ben the third Sunday, Tom the fourth Sunday.  Then the next month I take out the boys and hubby takes out the girls.  Dot prefers the term "Hang Out Night" to "Date Night" on the Sundays that we go out with our gender child and that it would be too confusing to switch the terms back and forth.  SO, we have Date Night on the first Sunday, and Hang Out Night on all the other Sundays.

The first batch of Hang Out Kids really seemed to have a good time, as they both thanked us multiple times :)  We'll see if we do as well tonight!
